Creating and curating an authentically inclusive and accessible community where our disabled and neurodivergent young people can learn, connect, play and thrive, and parent carers can find solidarity, support and understanding.
Small after school clubs in Stroud and Nailsworth. Six young people at most, your child comes with you, and the group stays the same every week.
What is different here
Our children need us beside them, to co-regulate their nervous systems so they can take part, build confidence and soar.
You stay
Every young person comes with a parent or carer who stays throughout. Parent carers are often an unrecognised and vital translator and protector for their child. Preventing them from attending creates a barrier that, in our community, amounts to disability discrimination.
Small and closed
Groups are small and they are the same group each week, rather than drop in. Knowing exactly who is in the room is, for a lot of our young people, the thing that makes the room possible.
Disabled and neurodivergent led
Founded and run by an autistic and ADHD disabled parent carer. Nothing here is an existing service adapted to fit disabled children. It was designed around disability and around carers from the very start.
Adapted before you arrive
You tell us about your child before their first session, so the space, the pace and the plan are already set up for them.

The clubs, from September
Both clubs move to after school.
Neuroverse Science and Sports
Thursdays, 4pm to 6pm, term time. The Pavilion, Victory Park, Stroud. Key Stage 3 science, then sports and games in the park with a professional coach. We are recruiting a science teacher for September.
More about the clubNeuroverse Drama
Mondays, 4pm to 5.30pm, term time. The main hall at Nailsworth Subscription Rooms. Improvisation, script work and stage acting, with LAMDA tuition included. We are an approved LAMDA examinations centre, so exams happen in the room they already know.
More about the clubBoth groups are capped at six young people and are closed groups rather than drop in. A parent or carer stays throughout. If we are full we keep a waiting list.

3D printing at the Lab
A session at the Lab at Stroud Library, using their equipment. We are in conversation with them now, and we will put the dates here as soon as they are agreed.
Stimology
A sensory disco once a term, with a DJ and real amplified music. No headphones needed. We are looking for the right venue, which means free flow, a quiet space to step out into, and step free access throughout.
Games, across the generations
An occasional games afternoon shared with older people from a local organisation. Board games take the pressure off talking, and everyone is doing the same thing at the same table, so nobody is being visited and nobody is being helped. We are looking for a partner organisation now.
Fees
Three rates, and you choose your own.
From September there is no single price. There is a supported rate, a standard rate and a solidarity rate, and you decide which one is yours. We do not ask for evidence and we do not ask you to explain yourself to anybody, including me.
Starting
They find others who understand without explanation.
Connection that does not ask you to leave your child behind. The first step is a free twenty minute call with me, so we can work out together whether this is right for your child. After that there is a short form and a free trial session. Nobody signs up to anything before then.
